If you’re wondering why ITV producers are crawling between heaven and earth trying to avoid the humilarous situation developing over their ‘Take Me Out’ show it’s because it’s all a big misunderstanding and a bit embarrassing.
On Tuesday The Daily Mirror exposed contestant Aaron Withers as a £50-an-hour escort with a nasty punch-a-babe habit. The revelation couldn’t have proved more embarrassing for ITV had Aaron walked on stage wearing a pantyhose gold leotard and boxing gloves.
At the end of Saturday night’s show the lady that Aaron chose to spend his luxury date with was Wen-Jing Mo. So, what in the name wild and wanton have The Mirror come up with today?
It turns out that Wen was a £200-an-hour hooker and had only turned up at ITV to do her duty.
Wen tells the Mirror.
“Looking back now of course I regret doing it – but at the time it was a lifeline for me. I think a lot of other people in my position would do the same if it meant they could eat properly – I saw it as a matter of survival.”

Before we all make our way to the nearest exit the truth is the tired format of this show could do with the occasional fragile flower like Wen. Class it up a bit. This would be more entertaining and increase ratings.
Think of all the wardrobe malfunctions.They could even install a stripper pole on stage to make girls like Wen feel more at home.

This news has truly ruined the show for me. I really enjoyed watching it, despite it being a bit car crash, it reminded me of Blind Date which I also loved. These sad and desperate people go on TV to ‘find love’ (read: get laid) but Take Me Out went one better with not actually letting the contestants go anywhere nice – just the Island of Fernandos, that’s the bit that actually cracks me up. But you’ve got to believe that the contestants are real, otherwise it’s all a little bit boring.
I can’t wait to hear how they’re going to ‘screen’ them in future. Here’s the first question. ARE YOU ON THE GAME ?
