Mike D. W is away right now so Dolly Molly and myself are here to fill in. I don’t really write celebrity, so Dolly is going to cover that side of things for you. I’ll be doing ‘shopping’.
You may remember a few weeks ago I told you about some gorgeous ankle boots I bought from Topshop, super comfy and fab with dresses and trousers. Well there’s more on that.
You’ll all have noticed by now how chilly the weather is getting – yes the time is here when thick tights and skirts aren’t doing it all on their own. My legs are getting cold. I need (desperately) some good quality, well made, knee-high winter boots that don’t look like UGGS for the snow.
And, as you may also recall, I calf issues. Almost all girls I know have the exact same problem, shapely calves, so why is it so damn difficult to find boots that fit us? Is it because all the boot- designers think every women is built like a wraithlike model who’s only function in life is to mince up and down a cat-walk all day?
Probably. Oh, I don’t know but what I do know is there’s defo a market for knee-high winter boots that fit the more shapely calves of the British lady.
So. I’ve been on the hunt again and look what I found: DUO!
Aren’t they pretty?! The Duo store is in Covent Garden London so I plan on visiting them during the next sales because they’re a bit expensive. If you can’t get to London then take a look at their site. It’s right here.
I’ve also discovered VIVALAVIDA, who have a fab range of wider fitting boots and they also have a handy calf measuring guide which you can find here.
