A Plain Jane is defined as ‘An ordinary-looking, average woman‘. Sadly most women in politics belong to this happy band of plain janers. That is until now.
A group of sexy female Czech politicians have posed for a party calendar to highlight the presence of women in Czech politics.
Members of the Public Affairs party are to feature in the parties 2011 charity calendar posing provocatively in revealing outfits.
The female politicians have been dubbed the ‘Blonde Coalition‘ by Czech media.
Marketa Reedova, Public Affairs candidate for mayor of Prague said:
‘Women’s political influence is growing. Why not show we are women who aren’t afraid of being sexy? Czechs are open-minded.’
The party’s sexy calendar comes after a record 44 women were voted into the 200-seat lower house of the Czech parliament.
But critics are not so sure (they wouldn’t be) and have described the calendar as more likely to reinforce stereotypes than break down walls. Walls?
Zuzana Graczova, a truly attractive human resources manager at Brain Logistics said:
‘These women should be presenting themselves by showing what they want to achieve, not by showing off their looks.’
Frankly I agree with whatever policies these ladies are preaching, they’ve got my vote.
