Well, this is a whole lot of sad for a Monday morning. In news that has shocked the entire world Morgan Freeman’s step grand-daughter, E’Dena Hines has been found murdered.
News outlets across the globe are all reporting how a quiet dinner on Saturday night ended in a brutal stabbing on a New York City street yesterday afternoon.
Here’s what they’re saying.
Peoples of the Press are saying that E’Dena Hines was stabbed to death outside her Washington Heights apartment by her boyfriend, Lamar Davenport.
A witness who saw the attack from his window is saying that Davenport continued to make stabbing motions over E’Dina’s lifeless body while the knife he used to kill her was still stuck in her chest.
The witness is also saying that Davenport was screaming, ‘Get out, devils! I cast you out, devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out’ over E’Dena’s copse.
Other witnesses are saying that Davenport did this terrible thing while he was high on cocaine.
The police are saying that it’s not clear why the alleged killer committed this dastardly deed.
The New York Post are saying that Davenport was arrested at the scene and then taken to a hospital for psychiatric evaluation.
The Press Association are saying that E’Dena was taken to Harlem Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. She was 33.
A heartbroken Morgan Freeman is saying of his murdered granddaughter…
“The world will never know her artistry in talent, and how much she had to offer. Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. May she rest in peace.”
Wikipedia are saying that E’Dena was the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife Jeanette Adair Bradshaw and that she studied acting at New York University.
The Daily Mirror are saying that E’Dena had recently returned to NYC after teaching underprivileged youth in Memphis, Tennessee.
