Now Say Hello To Stacy Irvine’s Real Diet.

Lets say hello to 17 year-old Stacy Irvine, the teenage girl who has made both The Daily Mail AND The Sun today with the story of her addiction to chicken nuggets. Both papers tell us how stupid girl (above) here has eaten nothing but chicken nuggets for over 15 years.

Doctors, not surprisingly have told Stacy that her diet is killing her. She has already been taken to hospital with her tongue twisted inside out and her stomach resembling the inside of Kate Moss’s handbag. Go here for the details.

What neither paper has told us is exactly how Chicken Nuggets are made.

So. Lets now say hello to Stacy’s diet - mechanically separated chicken. It’s what  fast-food chicken is made from.

Here’s how they do it. A chicken is mashed through a sieve including it’s bones, it’s eyes, it’s guts and everything it had up it’s bottom. It comes out looking like this in the picture above.( I don’t know why it’s pink.)

Because it’s now crawling with bacteria, it’s then washed through with ammonia, soaked in it actually. Then, because Amomia doesn’t taste like chicken, it’s then flavored artificially, before being dyed back into it’s chicken color.
